Aerodrome Restorations is a specialty shop at Coeur d'Alene Airport, serving Spokane, North Idaho, and Eastern Washington. We're built around the tools and expertise to do high-quality work on the machines that matter most — classic cars, performance vehicles, and aircraft.

Dry Ice Cleaning

Non-abrasive, non-toxic, and completely dry. We use the ICS 410S with 480 gallons of on-site air storage to clean engine bays, undercarriages, aircraft interiors, and industrial equipment — without disassembly or water damage risk. Aerodrome is a member of DRYCE® Nation, the automotive dry ice cleaning community whose members are fully trained in proper dry ice cleaning techniques, with shared access to the field's leading methods and equipment.

Media Blasting

Precision media blasting for restoration parts — suspension components, brackets, hardware, and castings. We run a Trinco dry blast cabinet backed by the same high-volume dry air that runs everything else in the shop. Parts come out as clean bare metal, ready for paint, powder, or coating.

Automotive Restoration

Maintenance and restoration work for Porsche, classic cars, and performance vehicles. Two Nussbaum lifts, an enclosed curtain booth with exhaust filtration, and a focus on the details that separate a good job from a great one.

On-site at KCOE with direct ramp access. We work on general aviation aircraft with the same attention to detail we bring to everything else. Fly in, get the work done. 35+ years as an A&P/IA.

DINITROL Undercoating

Corrosion protection for vehicles that live where the roads get salted. We apply DINITROL 4941 underbody coating in black or clear, plus DINITROL ML and 1000 cavity waxes injected into rocker panels, frame rails, doors, and box sections — the places rust starts where you can't see it. Applied over a dry ice–cleaned chassis, so the coating bonds to clean metal instead of sealing grime underneath it.

KSL Ceramic Coating

Supplier and installer of KSL Ceramic undercarriage coating, applied in-house at the hangar. Protects chassis, floor pans, and suspension components against road salt, moisture, and debris — for classics, performance vehicles, and daily drivers alike. The ceramic option when you want a harder-wearing surface finish than a wax-based undercoat.

Industrial Cleaning

The same dry ice equipment that strips an engine bay does the same job on machinery, tanks, conveyors, and equipment that can't come apart or get wet. We work on industrial machines, farm equipment, and food processing equipment — on-site at the hangar, or on-site at your facility when the job is too large to move. Call for a quote.

Industrial Dry Ice Cleaning

Grease, oil, carbon buildup, and product residue removed from machinery, tanks, conveyors, and processing lines — without water, solvents, or teardown. Safe around electrical components and sensitive tooling. We travel to your facility for equipment too large to move, or you can bring smaller components to the hangar.

KSL Ceramic Coating

Corrosion protection for equipment that lives outdoors or takes regular wash-down — farm machinery exposed to weather, food processing equipment cleaned with caustic or acidic wash-downs, tanks, frames, and structural steel. Applied after a dry ice clean, so the coating bonds to sound metal instead of sealing in existing grime or corrosion.

FAQ

How long does it take, and what does it cost?

It depends entirely on the vehicle and how far you want to take it. A thirty-year-old truck that has seen every Idaho winter is a different job from a garage-kept 911. We quote after a consultation by phone or in person, and everything runs by appointment so each job gets proper attention.

Can I fly in?

Yes. We are on the field at Coeur d'Alene Airport with direct ramp access, so you can taxi to the facility rather than trailering. Call ahead so we can coordinate.

What size vehicle can you bring in?

Our lift is rated for mid-size trucks and SUVs, up to about 6,000 lbs loaded — 4Runners, Tacomas, Wranglers, and similar platforms are typically a good fit. Heavily built overland rigs can add real weight with bumpers, racks, and gear, so call ahead with your loaded weight if you're not sure. Full-size trucks, vans, and larger campers are outside what the lift can handle.

Do you work on BMW, Audi, or other European cars?

Yes. Dry ice cleaning, media blasting, and restoration work apply the same way regardless of badge, and we stock Driven Racing Oil to match. If it's a European car with a job that needs doing right, bring it in.

Do you clean industrial or farm equipment?

Yes. Dry ice cleaning works the same way on industrial machinery, farm equipment, and food processing equipment as it does on a car — no water, no chemical residue, and no need to take things apart. We handle smaller components at the hangar and travel to your facility for equipment that can't be moved. Call for a quote.

What area do you serve?

Spokane and the surrounding Washington communities, North Idaho, Eastern Washington, and Western Montana — including Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Sandpoint, Missoula, and Kalispell. Work is performed at the hangar at KCOE, roughly 35 minutes from downtown Spokane.
